Our approach to work is based on some simple systems principles:

  • Everyone wants to create and contribute something positive
  • Everyone is right – partially
  • Everyone is part of a system, and/or nested systems
  • Only by listening to all the voices in the system can understand itself and what it needs. Instead of focusing on “Who is doing what to whom?” we look at  “What is trying to happen?” in the system
  • Every voice is a voice of the system and carries important information about it.
  • When we reveal the system to itself, it is naturally self correcting.
  • Conflict is the midwife to constructive change
  • All relationship systems have certain characteristics in common, whether they are our internal voices, a pair, groups, teams, communities, organizations or nations.
  • Awareness is a critical but not sufficient condition for growth, and awareness must be paired with behavioural change to be effective, and this is where training an coaching is essential.
